School Lunch: 5th-grade lunch starts at 11:50. To find prices and the menu, visit the district nutrition page HERE. Free and reduced lunch forms can be picked up at the office.
Absences: Our day goes from 8:05-3:55. School attendance is important! Those tardies and early pick-ups add up, too. Students do a lot each day, and it is impossible to replicate the learning that happens in the classroom as make-up work. We understand that various factors impact school attendance, like sicknesses and family emergencies, but when it is feasible, please have your student in school. Please have a look here for the facts.
Curriculum Standards: At RUES, we strive to teach in alignment with the learning standards adopted by the state of Idaho. Academic standards can be found HERE.
Text Notifications: Please subscribe to RUES notifications by texting 242912 to the number 91011. To get notifications from other schools, see HERE.
Reading Expectations: Students are expected to read 20-30 minutes each weeknight for 150 minutes weekly. This practice is essential in meeting student literacy goals.
Google Credentials: Google credentials give students access to Google Classroom, Clever, email, and other important platforms we use at school. Please, contact your child's homeroom teacher with problems.
Before/After School Procedures & Transportation: In the mornings, do not drop off your student before 7:45. Students go straight to the playground when arriving at school. Breakfast begins at 7:45. There are to be no students in the classroom hallways before the 8:05 bell unless they are with a parent or have a previously scheduled appointment with a teacher. After school, buses leave RUES at 4 pm. Please make sure your student knows their after-school plans before coming to school each day. If there is a change, please call Kristin Raz at (208) 228-5926, and she will send a note to the classroom. Call the bus garage at 208-228-5811 with any bussing questions.
