Welcome Students and Families

Here's some information about me:

Mr. Harned and I live in St. Charles with our dog, Annie, and our parrot, Connor. Annie is a Bedlington Terrier and Connor is an African Grey.
Our children grew up in St. Charles, but they now live downtown Chicago. Courtney is 35 and Garrett is 32. They work and run a company together. Courtney has a psychology degree with a minor in journalism, and Garrett has a business management degree with a minor in marketing.
I graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign, Urbana with a B.S. in Elementary Education.
I also graduated from National Lewis University in Evanston with a M. ED. in Reading Education.
I have taught grades 5, 1, 3, and 4 (all subjects.) I also taught P.E. in a Montessori school for ages 2-6 for five years when my children were young. The majority of my teaching years have been in 5th grade. This is my 12th year at Bell-Graham School.
My hobbies: running, biking (65-70 miles/day), hiking, baking desserts (especially chocolate treats and cheesecakes), reading, and taking vacations with my family!
