The math department has the following options available for students who would like extra help with their math skills outside of the classroom. Students should first contact their math teacher about receiving help outside of class time.
Peer Tutoring
The Math Honor Society offers peer tutoring on Wednesdays in the LRC during the Early Release time. Students can get help with concepts presented in class or homework problems. Students just need to bring their questions and math materials.
Math Interventionist (F241)
Cathy Dremel teaches first period Algebra 2 and then becomes the math department's interventionist. She is available to help students Tuesdays and Thursdays any period of the day except first period. Students can be invited by Ms. Dremel to attend extra help sessions, or they may "drop in" during their study hall/lunch period. Ms. Dremel works with specific groups of students throughout the day on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays so the Math Resource Room is available by appointment only on those days. Students can email catherine.dremel@d303.org to make an appointment.
Mathematics Textbooks
All students have access to an electronic version of their textbook. These eBooks have online supports built into their platforms.
