Extra Math Help

The math department has the following options available for students who would like extra help with their math skills outside of the classroom. Students should first contact their math teacher about receiving help outside of class time.

Peer Tutoring

The Math Honor Society offers peer tutoring on Wednesdays in the LRC during the Early Release time. Students can get help with concepts presented in class or homework problems. Students just need to bring their questions and math materials.

Math Interventionist (F241)

Cathy Dremel teaches first period Algebra 1 and then becomes the math department's interventionist.  She is available to help students Tuesdays and Thursdays any period of the day except first period.  Students can be invited by Ms. Dremel to attend extra help sessions, or they may "drop in" during their study hall/lunch period.  Students may also see Mrs. Dremel come in to their math class for extra support.

Illustrative Mathematics

All students in Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II have access to an electronic version of their textbook by McGraw Hill.  Also, ALEKS is an online tool used for extra practice and homework assignments.  All students have a login for ALEKS and can use that website for extra practice.

EnVision Mathematics

All students in Honors Geometry and Honors Algebra II have access to an electronic version of their textbook.
