The D303 elementary orchestra program is open to all students entering 3rd, 4th and 5th Grade.
Students may choose to play one of the the following instruments: violin, viola, cello, or bass.
The violin is the highest of the string instruments and usually has the melody.
The violin plays in treble clef.
The viola is slightly larger than the violin and has a lower sound.
The viola plays in alto clef.
The cello is the second largest and second lowest sounding string instrument.
The cello plays in bass clef.
The bass is the largest and lowest sounding string instrument.
The bass plays in bass clef.
