Jacobs Athletic Booster Club – OPEN BOARD RECRUITMENT
The Jacobs Athletic Booster Club is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that supports the Jacobs Athletic Department by raising funds for equipment, programs, scholarships, and school spirit. We bring families, staff, and the community together to enrich the student-athlete experience.
We are currently recruiting for key board positions for the 2026–27 school year: President, who leads the Booster Club, runs meetings, and works closely with the Athletic Director; Vice President, who assists with leadership, communications, and scholarships; Treasurer, who manages finances, budgets, and reporting; Secretary, who maintains records and meeting minutes; and Spirit Wear Manager, who oversees spirit apparel inventory and sales at the Eagles Nest. These critical roles are supported by the Concessions, Fundraising, Manpower (volunteer coordination), Team Parent, Communications, and Purchasing Committees.
This is a true team effort, so sign up with a friend to help promote school pride and support our athletes. No prior board experience is required, just a commitment to collaboration and service. Interested but not ready to commit? Join a virtual board meeting to learn more in a no-pressure, informational setting. To get involved or request meeting details, email jacobsathleticboosters@gmail.com or visit jacobsboosters.org.
Thank you for helping to make the DMS Loves Reading Incentive a success! Over 10% student population submitted an entry for reading at least one book in February, with over 265 books read in just 4 weeks!
We will be continuing the reading incentives with Take a Chance on Reading that will be running from March 2-27.
Students will be entered into a raffle to win a prize to reward them for their commitment to finishing a book during the month of March. There will be one winner per grade level.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and remember to bring your devices home.
