Bella Voce is a singing club at DMS. For Valentine's Day each year, the singers go around to classes to sing. They sing songs such as “Baby Face”, and “You Are My SunShine" to one lucky student. They have a great harmony and took much time and effort doing this for our DMS school.
Cardunal Council is a club led by the 7th grade math teacher, Ms. Palmer, with the help of Mrs. Gough. The council plans things like the blackout games, or even the eighth grade dance. They also volunteer for things like concessions or helping set up for halftime games. Lately, we have been discussing the wrestling tournament concessions and the 8th grade girls RED OUT GAME! The club has been discussing a St. Patricks Day candy sale to raise funds for for upcoming events! People in the club have lots of fun, and all are welcome to join. Listen to announcements for upcoming meetings.

This year's musical is The Wizard of Oz. Congratulations to everyone that made the cast. The rehearsals are really fun and every one is working hard to prepare for the performance. Keep up the great work for the musical. If you are interested in being in the musical next year, remember to join Chorus; however, if you are in Chorus, you are not required to be in the musical! The performances are on April 23, 24, and 25. The musical theme we are doing this year is The Wizard of Oz.
The orchestra has been working hard and sounds great thanks to Mrs Wood and Mrs Benge. They did such a good job in the winter concert and we wish them luck in the concert coming up on March 5th. We are also so glad Mrs Benge is back with us after her maternity leave ended.
On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, the 6th grade band went to NIU to perform. The lucky band members also got to go bowling. This trip was to help some future music teachers understand how our classes work. It was also a nice break for the long stretch between winter break and spring break. They had a BUNCH of fun and maybe you should join the band next year so you can also go on these awesome trips to perform and show off your talent!

PBIS Celebration
They announce about it all the time, but do we check the Lost & Found? We need to start checking the lost and found because there are sweaters, jackets, pencil cases, water bottles, binders, gloves, gym uniforms, fanny packs, food, bags, and even shoes! There's a lot of things found at DMS. If you don't claim your items by the end of each month they get donated. If you have an electronic or jewelry or something really valuable they will be in the main office which do not get donated. Make sure to be responsible and take good care of your things. If we are responsible then clear the table.
