Total Solar Eclipse 2024

The Great American Total Eclipse will occur on Monday April 8th, 2024 with 93.87% totality in our area. Seeing a total solar eclipse is a once in a lifetime experience! The entire United States will witness at least a partial eclipse. Areas along the path of totality will be the best place to view. 

On this day, the sun will become more and more obscured by the moon. You may notice the temperature drop. Shadows on the ground will appear sharper with crescent shapes, and the sky will become a dull shade of blue.

The total solar eclipse will be an awesome spectacle but can be dangerous to your eyes! You must use eye protection or pin-hole viewers. Staring at the sun during the eclipse is just the same as staring at the sun on a normal day and can burn your retina without you even realizing it!
