Spanish class looks different than science or math, and it can seem like you won't be able to help your student succeed if you don't know the language. Fear not, there are still many ways to help!
1. Encourage them to do the homework or study the vocabulary daily.
2. Ask them to show you their work, good or bad.
3. Have them "show off" what they have learned at the dinner table.
4. Take them to a Mexican restaurant and have them order in Spanish.
5. Embrace the opportunity to take them to a cultural exhibit or explore a virtual one.
6. Watch the Spanish language TV station and ask your student to explain the main idea or point out what words they recognize.
7. Invite them to teach you some of the words that they are learning in the classroom.
8. Help them get their materials in order by showing them organizational skills.
9. Require them to see their teacher when they need additional help.
10. Praise them when they have done well and encourage them to seek help if they are having difficulty.

Check out what we are doing in class under the tab for each level. We will also be using Google Classroom for various homework and classwork assignments.
Encourage your student to use conjuguemos.com and quizlet.com to review vocabulary and verb conjugations!
