TriARCathon (Hosted at the Arlington Ridge Center)

What: Looking for volunteers for the annual TriARCathon, which is an indoor triathlon for all ages hosted at the ARC (Arlington Ridge Center). Volunteer jobs would be to count laps in the pool and on the track, record mileage on the bikes, and help direct the flow of the event.

What: The charity has recently opened a gently used toy shop called GENERO-C.I.T.Y., which serves as another avenue to raise funds and awareness. The shop has many opportunities for high schoolers to volunteer, including:

- Assisting instructors during in person interactive classes for kids activities hosted in the store.

- Sorting and organizing gently used toy donations.

- Helping customers to find what they need.

Faith Feeds Food Pantry - Volunteer Opportunity

What: In need of volunteers during the Saturday morning/Thursday evenings for food pantry distribution.

Where: Faith Feeds Food Pantry (585 N Rand Rd in Palatine) Next to the Walmart in the POC/NCH building.

When/Time: Thursdays from 3:30 to 6:30 and on Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 12:30. There is also a mobile pantry that goes out to area apartment complexes on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30 to 5:30.

Northwest Community Hospital 

NCH has numerous opportunities available for you to help—from manning the information desk to assisting the staff in a variety of ways. To volunteer, you need to be 16 years of age or older and able to commit at least four hours per week for a minimum of six months. Positions are available seven days a week with a variety of shifts. Evening and weekend positions are in high demand and generally have less availability.
