Good Neighbors Network is looking for volunteers to help wrap grad gifts for students for first-generation college-bound grads! Sign up below for May 4, 2024.
Lions Park Elementary School - Spring Fling Volunteer Opportunity
What: Volunteers will be helping out with running games or running the bounce house stations at the event. We will also need a few volunteers to sell concessions. Looking for volunteers that may be good at face painting as well.

Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library - Volunteer Opportunity
What: The Friends of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library have several book sales each year that require work to set-up, straighten, and take down at the end of the sale. The work consists of boxing books, loading them to carts, taking them to the Friends room on the lower level, then unloading and stacking the boxed books. We need about 35 student volunteers to box up and cart books from the sale rooms to the lower level!
Where: Arlington Heights Library (500 N Dunton Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004)

3 pm to 5:30/6 pm
4 pm to 6:30 pm (or until we finish!)

What: In need for volunteers during the Saturday morning food pantry distribution

Mt. Melas Adventure Run 2024 - Volunteers Needed!
Date: Saturday, April 13th
Time: 7-11am
Location: Melas Park
Description: Course Marshall - Volunteer will be helping run an obstacle or guide runners on which direction to go. Training will be provided the morning of the race.

Willow Bend Spring Carnival Saturday, May 11 2024
Willow Bend Elementary School (behind RMHS) is looking for volunteers to supervise students and assist with activities at the Willow Bend Spring Carnival on Saturday, May 11th (rain or shine). This event will take place in the parking lot/field of Willow Bend Elementary School (4700 Barker Avenue Rolling Meadows, IL 60008). We need about 10 volunteers. Volunteering will begin around 10:30am. When you arrive please find Jacquie Dreyer so she can assign you a task. The event will wrap up at 1:00pm, you are welcome to stay until 1:30 to help put things away. This event counts toward service/volunteer hours for MCS, NHS & Harper Promise.
***Remember if you sign up you MUST attend! If you cannot go, you must find someone to take your place.

The program is structured to be relaxed and recreational to counterbalance the educational activities during the school day at Central Road, Kimball Hill and Willow Bend schools. They offer quality childcare with a variety of structured and unstructured activities including: arts and crafts, sports, active games, outdoor play. Children are also given time to work on homework. Northwest Community Hospital
NCH has numerous opportunities available for you to help—from manning the information desk to assisting the staff in a variety of ways. To volunteer, you need to be 16 years of age or older and able to commit at least four hours per week for a minimum of six months. Positions are available seven days a week with a variety of shifts. Evening and weekend positions are in high demand and generally have less availability.
