What is "EveryKnight" ?
EveryKnight is Prospect's "why" behind what it does. EveryKnight is embedded into the fabric of our comprehensive student experience--academics, activities, athletics, and arts. From the moment a student or staff member walks into the building, they matter. Their story matters. Their voice matters. Prospect wants to honor that identity while embracing EveryKnight in Prospect's shared story.
At Prospect, EveryKnight is included, engaged, and empowered.
Our "Moment" Inspiration
By Chip Heath & Dan Heath

Prospect Science Teacher/Head Cheerleading Coach
An educator and coach since 2018, Shelby believes that the best learning happens when students are fully immersed in the moment. At Prospect High School, she bridges the gap between the classroom and the school community through her leadership of 1-Prospect, the Peer Tutoring Program, Prospect's Zoo Club, and the Cheerleading program. Her love of new knowledge led her to pursue Master's Degrees in Educational Leadership and the Teaching of Biology, fueling her mission to elevate the student experience.
Shelby specializes in educational technology, with certifications in Apple and Google, using these tools to bring innovative strategies to both educators and students. She currently teaches AP Environmental Science and Oceanography, where she focuses on sparking curiosity through experiences that offer a little bit of chaos and a lot of fun. Whether on the sidelines coaching cheerleading or in the classroom, her goal remains the same: creating fresh, inclusive opportunities that help every student find their place and their passion.
Recent recognitions include:
2024 | District 214 "Dr. Elizabeth Ennis Award" Winner for instructional innovation
