The PHS Band program consists of two curricular bands that meet during the school day. It also includes two co-curricular performing ensembles, including the Marching Band and Pep Band. Band students have many opportunities to perform traditional and contemporary band music in our community and beyond.

The PHS Choir program currently consists of one curricular choir that meet during the school day. It also includes three extra-curricular acapella groups called Treble In Paradise (Treble Voices), Sub-A-Tonic (Bass Voices) Midnight Blues (Mixed Voices). The ensembles perform music in many different styles. These styles include Broadway, Classical, Folk, and Pop. No matter what a student's vocal experience is, your voice is always welcome in the Palatine High School choral program.

The PHS Mariachi Ensemble consists of the curricular group that meets during during the school day as well as the after school club (that currently meets on Thursdays from 3:45pm - 4:30pm). Mariachi students play and sing a variety of music that include old standards as well as contemporary songs of the genre.

The PHS Orchestra program consists of three curricular orchestras that meet during the school day. It also includes an extra-curricular performing ensemble that meets after school once a week. Orchestra students play a variety of music genres from Classical to Pop in our community and beyond.  Young children are invited to our Breakfast with Santa event, the third Saturday of December from 9 - 11 AM in the PHS cafeteria.
