This page is specifically for my process when it comes to conceptualizing, designing, and creating the artworks for my AP Art Inquiry.

My AP art inquiry focuses on human feelings of animal relatedness. Oftentimes, people find themselves feeling more akin towards their pets or animal friends rather than their human counterparts, and I wanted to explore these feelings through art and costume, and especially how to affirm these feelings in a healthy way. 

This concept of feeling like one is an animal at heart, rather than a person, is sometimes referred to in online communities as therianthropy. Therianthropy has many different forms, and lots will choose to express it differently than others, but some individuals might feel more comfortable wearing a mask or a tail in order to feel more fit to their animal-type. 

My ultimate goal with my inquiry is to be able to create works of art that also function as items of comfort for those who feel more comfortable in a non-human appearance.
