Meet the Multilingual Team

Parkland ML Team

We are the Multilingual (ML) Team! We support multilingual students who are still learning academic English. We follow a unique model of providing instruction primarily in English with Spanish support. In order to provide this support, several members of our team are bilingual and/or ESL certified.

If you have any questions please contact the team via the emails provided below. If you call the office, you can select Spanish to be transferred to the translator.

We also have the option of communicating with parents via Talking Points. This is a text app that translates messages. Please inquire if you'd like more information about Talking Points!

I was born and raised in Cuba, where I worked as an English language teacher for 10 years. In the US, I have worked as an ML teacher at Parkland School for over 19 years.

I have two sons and one daughter. I love reading, writing, watching movies, and listening to music, among other things. I also enjoy spending time with my students as we learn about past and present US history.
