🏫 District-wide Hispanic Heritage Month event on October 2nd from 6-8pm at Northeast Elementary. There will be a mariachi band, tacos, and more! Come join us to celebrate Hispanic heritage!
🏫 Central Middle School! Watch D.O.G.S. (dads of great students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative. There are 2 primary goals of the Watch D.O.G.S. program: to provide male role models for students and provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying. 🏫 The IL Teach Plus+ #iBelong welcoming group is back! With the support of Teach Plus, I am able to continue funding a welcoming group for our educators of color. The purpose of this group is to provide community, support, advocacy, and professional growth. 🏫 Equity Unleashed, South Cook ISC's equity network, will be having their 1st meeting of the year on 10/15. Equity Unleashed is a network for all 66 district's in South Cook area; the first meeting will take place at the Intermediate Center.
Each month, there will be 1 of 8 key strategies you can use to help you cultivate a sense of belonging for your students on a daily basis. Use these strategies each month so we all know that you and #iBelonginEvergreen.
