Staff Shout-Outs!
Let's celebrate all the hard work our staff does to provide an equitable and inclusive education for our students๐๐ผ
Shout out to Mrs. Melissa Domenech for advising Multicultural Club, a new club at Central Middle School. She has provided a space for her students to share their voice and culture! They meet every Friday at 3:15pm in her classroom.ย
Rob Lininger using NameDrop in his email signature! NameDrop believes that no one should have to hear a broken version of their name. So we made it easy for you to share your name with the world, in your own voice. Simply record your name as it's meant to be said, and get your personal name link. You can add it to your email signature, social media, and more!
Tiara H! She is a new social worker to CMS and she has been very responsive and helpful with helping staff and students of all demographics! She reaches out and follows up on students to ensure all are heard and seen! Shout out to Tiara!ย
Northeast and Northwest will be creating an African Kente Cloth.ย We sent home a letter to families to explain the meaning behind the cloth, and each family is being asked to create their own design, which will have certain meanings.ย They then return their "cloth" back to school and we put them all together to create a giant school cloth that represents all of our diverse families.ย
We want to thank Mr. Scott Liska and Ms. Christina Lavin, as well as Central Middle School students, for partaking in the Bullying and Harassment Prevention video. EPSD 124 is deeply committed to creating and maintaining a safe and positive school environment where all kids can learn, feel welcomed and most importantly, feel that they belong!
