Welcome to the Town of Evergreen.
Town Name: Evergreen
Population: 250
Time: Summer of 2000
Town Slogan: Be a good neighbor, abide by the rules.
Evergreen is an isolated town surrounded by trees and mountains. The town has a small (but constant) population, though, they believe themselves to be the only humans around. This town is run by a strict government to ensure the people remain “happy” and “at peace” though that is not what their situation seems to show in the slightest.
The people have strict rules forbidding them to ask questions or stay out past a specific curfew. Occasionally, some people speak out against the government, believing that they are brainwashing the people into accepting an unfair rule.
People who speak out or go against the rules are considered to be committing treason and disappear, never to be seen again.
The government seems to always be watching, and the people live under strict rules regarding their everyday lives. Few people begin to believe they are living in a simulation after trying to escape during the night, realizing there is a force field surrounding their town making it impossible to escape (or so they think).
How can they rebel against their government? How can they escape from their simulated town and break free from the experiments they believe to be performed upon them?
Some history:
The town was established 4 generations ago. The town started with noble intentions as a place for people with good genes/healthy people volunteered so they could be used to develop a vaccine that could save the world from a deadly virus to live, but it de-evolved into the government putting too much control on the people and things got out of hand. The residents DONT KNOW they are guinea pigs for the government. Residents also are completely unaware that there could be people living beyond Evergreen’s city limits.
The Rules:
There is no freedom of speech or assembly
Leaving Evergreen is treason
Curfew is 7:00 pm
Must be physically fit: Work out at Whole Lotta Iron each day for one hour and get 10,000 steps a day.
Residents must wear their tracking watches
Tampering, hiding from the cameras is treason
No weapons allowed
Do not talk of the missing
Be a good neighbor, abide by the rules
