I hope that you all had a great summer. I am excited to start my 19th year at WMS this year. Even though we are back in the classroom , we will still be using technology throughout the year both in and out of the classroom. Even though your assignments will be posted daily in our in person classroom, they will also be available through Google Classroom on a daily basis. This website will be a great 'go-to' spot for keeping up with your assignments, reviewing for assessments, and other resources that will add to what we learn in the classroom. Please check back often, since it is frequently changing with our units of study as the year progresses.

I am excited to start my 19th year here at WMS! I am a teacher who is passionate about all things science and passionate about bringing that knowledge to my students. I believe that understanding the natural world and the human impacts on it will help us to create a brighter future. I value hard work, creativity, and problem solving, striving to instill these aspects into each lesson I teach as well as drawing connections between the information presented and the real world. I strongly feel that knowledge is best learned when discovered rather than handed out. Because of this, I place a strong emphasis on inquiry-based and critical thinking skills. This often reflects itself in the many hands-on activities that we engage in through the school year. I am also a Google Level II certified teacher, which means that I have extensive knowledge in incorporating digital platforms into my regular instruction.
I look forward to getting to know all of you as we travel through our learning journey of this wonderful world together.
