Welcome to the School Accountability Committee (SAC) for Coronado High School!
The SAC is a group of parents and academic leaders who meet monthly at our school. Our role is to review data and make recommendations to the principal regarding instruction and achievement, safety, school climate, and expenditure of funds. We are also deeply invested in improving parent engagement at our school.
Everyone is welcome to join the SAC and/or attend meetings. There is a set agenda of items we will discuss each month (such as student achievement or the school budget) and we will always have time to discuss other issues as they arise. We meet at 5:30 pm for approximately 1 hour in the Coronado Future Center.
We hope you can join us!
Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns!

District 11 2026 Bond Planning
Dear Coronado Community,
District 11 is exploring a potential November 2026 bond measure designed to address long-standing facility needs and create safer, more modern learning environments for every student across the district.
Here is what the data tells us: the average age of D11 facilities is 58 years, and 70% of our buildings do not meet current K–12 standards. District assessments have identified over $422M in necessary facility improvements, while only $17M is available annually for repairs, limiting the district to urgent fixes rather than meaningful upgrades.
The bond planning approach is structured so that every school receives meaningful investment, with additional upgrades prioritized based on facility conditions, educational adequacy, and, most importantly, community input.
Potential Coronado improvements include:
HVAC in all buildings
Daylighting and energy efficiency
Exterior improvements
Updates to learning and common spaces
Share your input by submitting feedback online at https://www.d11.org/bond. Learn more about the process at the bond website: www.d112026bondplanning.com
We look forward to hearing from you, your perspective matters and will directly shape how our school is represented in this planning process.
Sincerely,
Addie Arnell, Principal
Monte Gutowski, Athletic Director
Rodny Rodriguez, Community Bond Liaison
