This year marked an exciting and successful launch of our middle school Warriors Esports Club through Generation Esports and their Middle School Esports League, where 28 students participated in competitive team-based gaming. Our teams played Minecraft and a variety of Nintendo titles in structured, strategy-driven competitions, with two squads advancing to the national playoffs—an outstanding achievement for our first season!Â
We even had a few students join the dedicated "Operations Team" to work on tech support, content creation, and live streaming. The club strongly emphasized social-emotional learning, inclusion, and teamwork, creating a positive and welcoming space for all participants. Feedback from parents and students was overwhelmingly positive!
In addition to our middle school program, we also launched elementary esports clubs for students in grades 2–5. These after-school clubs gave younger students the chance to experience friendly competition and creativity through Minecraft Education. They participated in engaging Build Battles and Speed Races, building confidence, collaboration skills, and digital citizenship along the way.
Altogether, this year's esports programs laid a strong foundation for future growth and highlighted how gaming can be a powerful tool for learning, connection, and fun!Â
Yesterday marked an exciting start to our esports season, and our teams showed up ready to play! đź’Ş Our Mario Kart, Minecraft, and GeoGuessr players successfully navigated the Middle School Esports League (MSEL) queue system, learning how to find and join their matches with confidence. We also celebrated smooth connections with opponents from across the country, proving that our teamwork extends beyond just our school! Most importantly, the team spirit was strong, with players supporting each other, communicating effectively, and bringing great energy to the competitions.
This is just the beginning—let’s keep the momentum going! 🚀🏆 #WarriorsEsports #GameOn
To celebrate the launch of the Warriors Esports Club, we took over the lunchroom for an epic showdown between teachers and students in Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros.! The energy was electric as students cheered, laughed, and gasped at every twist and turn. A huge shoutout to Principal Groncki, teachers, and game club students for stepping up to the challenge and battling it out on stage! The excitement was contagious, and the competition was fierce—what an unforgettable way to kick off our club!
