Academic Ineligibility
Any student receiving an "F" in any class, or a current GPA below 2.0 will be ineligible to participate in after-school activities (athletics, clubs, theater, etc.). Eligibility will be considered every two weeks. The principal or assistant principal will notify a student if they become of their ineligible due to grades.
1. For students whose ineligibility is due to a failing grade, at the end of those two weeks, it is the student's responsibility to pick up a Student Eligibility Form from the Main Office and obtain a grade update from the teacher issuing the failing grade.
IF after the two week period:
The grade is a "D" or higher, the student regains his/her eligibility.
The grade remains an "F,” the student will remain ineligible until he/she is
able to raise his/her grade to a “D” or higher.
2. For students whose eligibility is due to a current GPA below 2.0, at the end of those two weeks, it is the student’s responsibility to make an appointment with the Team Leader to review their current GPA and discuss eligibility.
IF:
The current GPA is at a 2.0 or higher, the student regains his/her eligibility.
The current GPA is below a 2.0, the student continues to be ineligible for at least two more weeks.
