Who is Dr. Wainman?
Hello! I'm Jake Wainman, an Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I have always loved science, and I've never been able to choose just one scientific area of study as my favorite. This fact is evident in my scientific training. I have two B.S. degrees, one in Biology and one in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I also have a Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry with an Emphasis in Molecular and Cellular Biophysics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Now, I use this training in my major passion: teaching. I teach a variety of science courses here at the University of Minnesota Duluth, including Biochemistry, General Chemistry, and even General Physics for a time.
