The University parking lots do not offer free parking during normal office hours during the fall/spring semesters.

If you park in a metered space or the pay lot, you will have to pay to park. If you park in the Gold, Maroon, or White lot without an appropriate permit, you may be ticketed. As our guest, we can provide you with a permit so you do not have to pay to park or incur ticketing fees. If you have not been given information about parking when you visit, please contact the course manager you are working with or the Duluth Curriculum Office.
If you are visiting after normal operating hours (6am to 5pm Monday through Friday) or during a semester break, you might not be issued a parking permit as Maroon and White parking lots are open to the public to park for free when classes are not in session. Exact dates of breaks vary from academic year to academic year. If you have questions about whether you can park in a Maroon or White lot without a permit, please contact the Course Manager handling your course/session or the UMD Transportation and Parking Services by email at umdpark@d.umn.edu or by phone at (218) 726-7433.

University Parking Services allows up to 3 hours of parking in spots with a blue accessible parking sign or at any meter for those displaying an accessible license plate or temporary accessible permit. If you need accessible parking and plan to be here longer than 3 hours, please contact the Course Manager or the Duluth Curriculum Office for assistance.
