Research interests: I would like to explore the broad themes of biotic responses to abiotic stress and the ecology of plant communities in periods of climate shift. I am interested in plant vascular transport under environmental stress, such as drought. In addition, how this ecological knowledge can be applied in practical ways to conservation and restoration efforts.

Research interests: I am interested in researching leaf development and its connection to phloem physiology. I hope to further investigate the underlying mechanisms that influence the sink to source transition that new leaves undergo as they switch from requiring energy to exporting it.
