PETTaLS Free

PETTaLS is the Pretty good Exciter and Tactile Transducer Loudspeaker Simulator. It allows the user to acoustically simulate a speaker made from an electromechanical exciter attached to a rectangular bending plate.

Features include:

• baffled and dipole radiation simulation

• on-axis radiation, averaged horizon level radiation, radiation at plate edges

• choice of materials (acrylic, aluminum, EPS, MDF) with option to input bulk material parameters

• choice of exciter (point source, DAEX19CT-4, DAEX25VT-4), choice of exciter placement

• choice of exciter magnet restriction

• plate boundary conditions (simply supported, clamped, free)

• enclosure depth

• Editable panel dimensions (length, height, width)

• On-axis impulse response simulation
