Let's build community as well as skills for success in both academics and everyday life!
Focus: The CILIA-T curriculum merges U.S. history and civics content with academic English instruction to support adult learners, helping them gain the skills needed to be involved, informed members of their communities. Technology use is interwoven throughout the curriculum, both as an instructional tool and as a way to improve learners’ digital skills.
Research-Based: Our curriculum is based on findings regarding vocabulary, background knowledge, higher-order thinking skills, and motivation, both from existing research and studies conducted by the CILIA-T team.
Standards-Aligned: Modules are guided by the College and Career Readiness, English Language Proficiency, and NorthStar Digital Literacy Standards.
Instructor Support: Our comprehensive curriculum offers resources to help instructors teach these integrated lessons effectively, including digital skill videos, instructional guides, and additional activities created by teachers who have used CILIA-T.
CILIA-T integrates U.S. history, civics, academic English, and digital literacy.
