There are many different opinions on what makes a compelling poster. In general, aim to use fewer words and more diagrams/graphs, and speak to your mentors about what is acceptable in your specific field.
To print, email posters to: dmedhelp@d.umn.edu. For IT, the poster can be in a .PPT or .PDF file format. Email IT files no later than November 20th.
You will pick up your posters from IT. We will not be handling the printing or hanging of posters. This is your responsibility.
We will only pay for one print so be sure the resolution for all your images is of high enough quality before sending IT the file. If you would like to reprint your poster, you will have to find the money for that from another source.
Convert the poster file to .PDF, name the file Poster_Lastname_Firstname, and submit through the submission form by November 25th.

You are expected to stay by your poster during the entire poster session.
Poster presentations will not be timed, but you should take about 5-8 minutes to summarize your poster. People will likely stop you to ask questions as this is more informal than the lightning talks.
There will be 2-3 judges per poster.
