Apollo and Doxa just had a litter on 2.25.25
At this kennel, we strictly adhere to the FCI (Federation Cynologique International) standard - the original German blueprint for the Doberman. There is a funadamental architectural difference between the European and an American line Doberman.
The FCI Standard:
The Purpose: Bred for utility, protection, and high intensity work.
The Build: Heavier bone density, broader chests, and massive, blocky head (the demon look).
The Software: High working drive and 'strong nerves.' To be bred under FCI standards, dogs often must pass a ZTP (Breed suitability Test} for temperament and courage.
Color: Only Black and Rust or Brown and Rust are recognized.
The AKC Standard:
The Purpose: Bred primarily for the show ring and family companionship.
The Build: A more elegant sleeker, and refined frame like the greyhound. These dogs are bred for the show ring, emphasizing a lighter bone structure, a more wedge shaped head, and a graceful gait. While beautiful, the American build is a departure from the breed's original "powerhouse" tools.
Software: For looks and for stage sleekness
Most people believe that AKC paper is a guarantee of quality. It is not. It is merely a birth certificate. At our Kennel, we use the FCI Working Standard as our workbench.
While the American (AKC) style has drifted toward a sleek, Greyhound-like frame for the show ring, we have maintained the European Powerhouse. Our dogs are bred for Substance (Hardware) and Nerve Strength (Software). We don't just breed dogs; we prove their legacy through ancestors like the 2022 SGSV Landesmeister.
Our currnet current males are the direct grandsons of a lengendary German competitor. The lineage is anchored by SGSV Landesmeisterschaft Campion, who secured the IGP3 trophy in Germany in 2020 and followed it with a State Championship in 2022.
While we focus on stable home companions, we beleive the best copmanions come from proven, high-performance 'Source-code.' These 11-month-old males carry the same focus, nerve, and strength, and physical, presence that made their grandfather a cahampion on the world stage.
