Owner and Coastal Engineer
Dr. Stephanie Patch, P.E., owns Coastal Zone Engineering, LLC, a consulting firm specializing in engineering services in coastal areas. She is also an Associate Professor of Civil and Coastal Engineering at the University of South Alabama. As a coastal engineering consultant, Stephanie leverages her extensive academic background to develop practical, actionable, and innovative solutions.
With a Ph.D. in coastal engineering and professional licensure in engineering (P.E.), Stephanie brings more than a decade of experience to her clients. Her consultancy focuses on analyzing data of complex processes generated by computer models to aid in design, providing solutions that optimize resources while meeting client needs, and addressing the challenges posed by sea level rise through rigorous yet manageable planning techniques.
Stephanie earned her BSCE (2010) and MSCE (2012) from Georgia Tech and her Ph.D in Civil Engineering (2016) from Virginia Tech, and she is licensed in Alabama.
