CLearwater ELementary School

Clearwater Elementary School, located on the north end of Piedmont, serves a little over 400 students and approximately 50 staff members. The building houses Early Childhood students through 4th grade. Clearwater is a conscious discipline school. Our staff focus on an interconnected world of conscious adults capable of responding instead of reacting to conflict, while instilling knowledge and skills that students can implement, which creates a safe educational environment. 

Clearwater Elementary staff collaborate and focus on utilizing student data to drive our instruction both in Reading and Mathematics. Differentiated instruction is provided in the classroom and through our Title I team to meet the students needs and accelerate growth in learning. Our district also uses the I Ready program as a supplemental individualized learning opportunity. Our building uses standards based grading which selects specific skills necessary at each grade level instead of numerical grade scales. We believe that knowing what your child's strengths and weaknesses are and assisting in promoting their learning, a single grade does not provide that level of feedback. 

Clearwater Elementary is proud to have the Clearwater Foundation, Rotary Club, and area Businesses sponsor and support our students. Funding for equipment, and participation during school events are greatly appreciated.
