The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical is a rock musical based on Rick Riordan's 2005 bestselling novel of the same name. It follows Percy Jackson, a boy with ADHD and dyslexia, who discovers that he is a demigod, the son of Poseidon.
When Zeus's master lightning bolt is stolen, Percy is framed as the prime suspect. To clear his name and prevent a war between the gods, he and his friends embark on a quest across the United States. Along the way, they face mythological monsters and gods. The musical is a fast-paced and humorous adaptation that explores themes of friendship, identity, and finding your place in the world. The show culminates in a final confrontation where Percy uncovers the true identity of the thief and comes to terms with his complicated relationship with his father.
