CWOLA

Welcome to the Middle School CWOLA website!

Principal's Message:

My name is Mr. Daniel Senu-Oke and I am excited to welcome you to the 2020-21 school year. With all the changes in our world, welcoming the return of school is something I’m sure you’re all looking forward to.

As your CWOLA Principal, I assure you that as a team, you have a dedicated following of teachers and staff that will be here to help you and support you while we all navigate and embrace the school year ahead. One of the most important things that I want you to know is that we are all in this together. This is a new experience and journey for parents, for students, for teachers and for me as well. I look forward to all of us learning together and taking new steps to succeed as the Canal Winchester family we truly are.

Our commitment to the mission of Empowering All Students For Success hasn’t changed and remains the same even while we engage in new learning scenarios.

I firmly believe that every student is important and that every student already has the fundamental tools to succeed. I truly look forward to seeing our students continue to grow.

The current pandemic has created many challenges, but as a team we will do everything we can to ensure that your student’s educational needs are met during these unprecedented times. As always, our top priority is the success, safety and education of our children. I am looking forward to all of us learning from each other and succeeding together as we start this school year.

Stay safe & stay healthy.

CWOLA Principal, Mr. Senu-Oke

Getting Started With Edmentum 101

  1. It is extremely important to watch the Plato Orientation videos to become familiar with the Courseware platform. Do not move forward with the course until watching the videos.

  2. Students are HIGHLY encouraged to take notes for each course outside of the Edmentum platform. Keeping a separate notebook for each course would be helpful.

  3. Guided notes for course modules MAY be available in the resource folder, but are not available for all lessons.

  4. During a Mastery Test you may NOT open up another browser tab. If you do, the mastery test will become locked and you may need to contact your instructor.

  5. Why didn’t my student’s progress in a tutorial save? To save any notes taken and questions answered in a tutorial, and to go right back to where they left off, students must use the “Save and Exit” button within the tutorial. This will save the student’s progress and close the browser tab.

  6. It is recommended that each student dedicates 3-5 hours per day, or 15 hours per week to stay on pace for the course.

It is important that if you run into issues that you contact one of your CWOLA teachers or Principal for help.
