The Hays County EMS Association successfully won their union election in June of 2023, marking a significant milestone for the dedicated EMS professionals in the region. Since then, the Association has been engaged in constructive negotiations with San Marcos Hays County EMS to establish a comprehensive Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This agreement is expected to address key issues such as wages, working conditions, benefits, and job security, ultimately aiming to improve the overall quality of life for EMS staff and enhance the delivery of emergency services to the community. The ratification of the CBA is anticipated to occur soon, bringing the agreement into effect and solidifying the hard-won rights and protections for Hays County EMS workers. The Association continues to work diligently to ensure that the voices of EMS personnel are heard and that their contributions to public safety are properly recognized and supported.
