College and Career Readiness Overview

Coachella Valley USD believes all students deserve an education that informs them to be both college and career ready! This includes academic preparation combined with exposure and exploration for students to find their "why" and how to choose a college and major that fits their dream. Today's world requires students to be life-long learners and to have a diverse skill set. The Coachella Valley College and Career model includes programs PK-12 and beyond!

Elementary College and Career Readiness

College and Career Readiness starts in elementary school! Students need exposure to what it means to be college and career ready! CVUSD is funding STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Labs at seven of our elementary schools, and will be rolling out to all elementary schools soon!

Middle School College and Career REadiness

All CVUSD Middle Schools offer college and career exploration. Project Lead The Way, AVID, and Career Technical Education and Paxton Patterson College and Career Labs!

High School college and career readiness

All CVUSD High Schools prepare students for college and career through a variety of programs including: AVID, Puente, and twenty award winning college and career themed programs across multiple industry sectors including: Agriculture, Aviation, Health, Film, Building and Construction Trades, Technology, Public Safety, Green Energy, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, Engineering
