Face coverings will be required up until the time of photography. Social distancing measures have been put in place and we ask that you follow them for your safety and the safety of our photographers.
What is the Yearbook required attire?

A: Yes, Cap and Gowns will be provided by Prestige Portraits. To maintain health and safety protocols, garments will be steamed after each use. Proofs will be available about 3 1/2 weeks after photographing.

As Los Angeles County has moved into the Orange Tier for COVID cases, we have been given permission by LACDPH to plan for both small scale, in-person graduation ceremonies and car parade style graduations. Because of the strict restrictions for occupancy in graduation venues, any in-person traditional style ceremony will have a reduced number of both graduates and spectators. With these new options available to us, we will need to begin to plan for our graduation ceremonies now.
During the week of April 12th, staff members from Hawthorne High School will start calling each family of 12th grade students regarding your graduation ceremony options. When the staff members calls the parent/guardian, they will ask for you to select one of the graduation options described below. Because of the significant planning and organization that will be required to organize these events, once you make your selection this will be a binding commitment and you will not be able to change your selection at a later date.
The staff caller will offer you one of these 3 options and you must make your permanent selection during that call:
CAR PARADE GRADUATION: One vehicle per graduate that seats as many individuals as seatbelts will allow
IN-PERSON GRADUATION: Small scale traditional style graduation ceremony with reduced graduate numbers & MAXIMUM 3 tickets per graduate
NO GRADUATION: Families may elect to NOT participate in either graduation
Once we know how many graduates we have for each style, we will notify families regarding times, tickets, and other details that have yet to be determined.
However you choose to participate, we look forward to celebrating the Class of 2021 with you on June 9, 2021.
