The Environmental Careers Academy was established in 1997 as the first CA Partnership Academy in CVUHSD. We have evolved through the years and changes in the CA and global green economy, and have remained dedicated to preserving the environment and being agents of change through sustainable design. Students prepare for green careers through interpreting and analyzing environmental, political, and socioeconomic issues embedded within a supportive and integrated educational environment.
The ECA Green Alliance is a student-led enterprise working towards the primary goal of demonstrating that sustainability and entrepreneurship go hand in hand. Students run a Farmer's Market out of the school garden, and create and sell eco-friendly products to staff and community members. The Green Alliance also seeks to work toward a cleaner and greener future by participating in local environmental volunteer events.
The Green Alliance welcomes anyone and everyone! Please contact President, Jesus Hernandez <j.hernandez079@cvuhsd.org> or Adviser, Nicole Hamasaki <hamasakin@cvuhsd.org> if you would like more information about the academy or the club!
