COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course explains the external (historical, political, and cultural forces) and internal (changes in the language features) histories of the English language. 

Principles of ethical behavior in modern society at the level of the person, society, and in interaction with the environment and other shared resources.

Ang KOMFIL ay isang praktikal na kursong nagpapalawak at nagpapalalim sa kontekstwalisadong komunikasyon sa wikang Filipino ng mga mamamayang Pilipino sa kani-kanilang mga komunidad sa partikular, at sa buong lipunang Pilipino sa pangkalahatan. Nakatuon ang kursong ito sa makrokasanayang pakikinig at pagsasalita, gayundin sa kasanayan sa paggamit ng iba't ibang tradisyonal at modernong midya na makabuluhan sa kontekstong Pilipino sa iba't ibang antas at larangan. 

This course provides training in different movement patterns and core engagement in conjunction with principles of healthy eating and a physically active life. Students will be able to adapt and transfer the movement competency in different contexts (i.e. use of training equipment). 

The National Service Training Program 1 (NSTP 1)- Civic Welfare Training Service component (CWTS 1) is a course for both male and female students in any baccalaureate degree or in at least two tears technical vocational courses in both public and private educational institutions. Purposely, it is designed to help them understand, appreciate, and eventually live by the concepts of the National Service Reserve Corps with the view of empowering them into becoming potent resource for community development. In general, it is aimed to equip students with the fundamental knowledge in the various dimensions of development and understanding dynamics in the community. 

This course explains the nature and essential features of language. It provides an overview of the phonological system, morphological system, syntactic system, and semantic system of the English language. It gives an introduction to discourse as well as language acquisition and language change.

The course explains the theories of the origin of human language and of language acquisition and development. 

Nature of mathematics, appreciation of its practical, intellectual, and aesthetic dimensions, and application of mathematical tools in daily life. 

Globalization and its impact on individuals, communities and nations, challenges and responses. 

Gender as a social construction, its role and impact on different facets of societal life. 

Isang maagwat na kursong nagpapalawak at nagpapalalim sa kasanayan sa malalim at mapanuring pagbasa, pagsulit, at pananaliksik sa wikang Filipino sa iba't-ibang larangan, sa konteksto ng kontemporaryong sitwasyon at mga pangangailangan ng bansa at ng mga mamamayang Pilipiino. Partikular na nakatuon ang kursong ito sa makrokasanayang pagbasa at pagsulat, gamit ang mga makabuluhang pananaliksik sa wikang Filipino, bilang lunsaran ng pagpapalawak at pagpapalalim sa kasanayan, kakayahan at kamalayan ng mga estudyante na malikhain at mapanuring makapagdalumat o "makapag-teorya" sa wikang Filipino, batay sa mga piling local at dayuhang konsepto at teorya na akma sa konteksto ng komunidad at bansa. 

Ang Panitikang Panlipunan ay isang kurso sa pag-aaral at paglikha ng panitikang Filipino na nakatuon sa kabuluhang panlipunan ng mga tekstong literari sa iba't ibang bahagi ng kasaysayan ng bansang Pilipinas. Sinasaklaw nito ang mga isyung panlipunan na tinalakay ng mga akdang Filipino tulad ng kahirapan, malawak na agwat ng mayayaman at mahirap, reporma sa lupa, globalisasyon, pagsasamantala sa mga manggagawa, karapatang pantao, isyung pangkasarian, sitwasyon ng mga pangkat minorya at/o marhinalisado, at iba pa. 

This course provides experiences in core stability, strength, and mobility training. It includes goal setting exercise progression and regression and periodic assessment for the development of various fitness components. 

The National Service Training Program Civic Welfare Training Service 2 (NSTP-CWTS 2) is a sequel to NSTP- CWTS 1. It is designed to equip students with the fundamentals of project identification, planning, and implementation in pursuit of contributing to the upliftment of the general welfare and the quality of life of the people in the community facilities, especially, to those that are devoted to protection and preservation of the environment, the improvement of lives, health and safety of the populace. To this, the NSTP 2 (CWTS component) student-trainees are suggested to undergo process called community Immersion so as to guarantee high-level of success in the conduct of community service. 

The course deals with the study of the patterns and system of sounds and the structure and formation of words in the English language.

The course analyzes information shared across different cultures. As an interdisciplinary field of study, it exposes the students to verbal and non-verbal communication, communication styles, interpretation as well as values shared across various social settings.

Pag-aaral ng mga prinsipyo ng masining na pagpapahayag sa Filipino. Nakatuon ito sa malayang pagtuklas at pagpapakita ng sariling kakayahan at talino sa pasulat at pasalitang pagpapahayag. Lilinangin ng kursong ito ng mga kasanayan sa pasalita at pasulat na pagpapahayag ng mga mag-aaral bilang isang indibidwal, mamamayan ng isang bansa at bahagi ng isang global na komunidad. 

This course will provide physical activities for the purpose of optimizing health and fitness. Students will choose from a menu of course offering in dance, sports and outdoor adventure activities. 

The course introduces various approaches to the study of different literary genres.

This course provides a starting point for Korean/Japanese/Chinese language. This will help students obtain primary proficiency in the four language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as cultural awareness.

A survey of world literature including short stories, poetry, novels, drama, and non-fiction. Emphasis is on the exploration and discussion of human and moral qualities revealed through literature. 

This course will provide physical activities for the purpose of optimizing health and fitness. Students will choose from a menu of course offering in dance, sports and outdoor adventure activities.

This course provides more advanced lessons for Korean/Japanese/Chinese language. This will help students obtain higher proficiency in the four language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as cultural awareness. 

The course analyzes the differences between men and women's speech, their speaking style, and their discourses by assessing the language forms they use. The methodological issues/approaches involved in the analysis are discussed particularly variationist and interactional sociolinguistics, critical discourse analysis, ethnography and conversational analysis. 

The course examines the interface of various modes and genres of communication. 

The course examines the dynamics of communication and the use of language as an effective means of wielding authority.

The course is a study of different approaches to translation.  

This course provides a starting point for French/Spanish/German language. This will help students obtain primary proficiency in the four language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as cultural awareness.

Life, works and writings of Rizal with emphasis on his principles, ideals and teaching towards the development and progress of his country. 

The course covers the process of writing a research- based thesis on a language-related topic.
