MS-ESS1-2 Develop and use a model to describe the role of gravity in the motions within galaxies and the solar system.

Class Assessment:

Sixth, seventh and Eighth graders used this simulation to demonstrate learning in two areas: Asking Questions (Science Practice 1) and Using a Model (Science Practice 2). Here is a link to the learning targets used with this task. Sixth graders were assessed formatively and are on track for this time of year at level 2 on both targets. Seventh graders were assessed Summatively and are on track at level 3 in Asking Questions and 2-3 for Using a Model. Eighth graders were assessed summatively and are on track at level 3 for both targets.

Students are highly encouraged to submit revisions if they are not on track with performance expectations.
