Summary: Iris has synesthesia. She has no idea. At first, she simply thinks that everyone sees colors and shapes when music plays, but by the time she's a teenager, it's clear that others don't understand. ff to downplay the way she experiences the world, and worrying what it might mean to be different, the young artist is at war with herself until she meets a new friend - and he sees the colors too. 

     A dance ensemble of colors and the vivid orchestral suite “The Planets” by Gustav Holst bring Iris' experience of discovering her neurodivergence to life in this triumphant, visually stunning coming-of-age story.

9 actors, 5 non-speaking dancers

Thursday, September 10, 2026, 3-5 p.m.

Pick up an audition packet from your core teacher to fill out and return by FRIDAY, September 4, 2026. 

Then, sign up for an audition spot on the WCS Theatre bulletin board outside of the auditorium. Dancers must come on Wednesday unless otherwise arranged. 

Most rehearsals will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 3-4:30 p.m. Limited conflicts allowed. Most rehearsals need to be attended by all actors. Dancers need to be there from October 15, 2026 through show dates. Stay tuned for crew sign up!
