I have been teaching since 2006. I first taught at Bristol Elementary School and spent 9 years there teaching 5th and 6th grade. I am the science teacher for The 6, but I have enjoyed teaching many different subjects over the years.

As an educator, I enjoy connecting with students and providing hands-on and project-based learning opportunities. I strive to maximize student engagement, critical thinking, and problem-solving - all requirements of lifelong learners and world citizens. I believe that providing a safe and positive classroom community is a cornerstone to successful learning.

I currently live in Shelburne, with my husband, Frank, and my son, Quinn. I enjoy reading science fiction, fantasy, and mystery novels-Sherlock Holmes novels are my favorite. I am originally from Portland, Maine and spend a majority of my summer there on the beach, digging in the sand and swimming in the ocean.
