I am very excited to be part of Team Independence. This is my seventh year at HCS and my fifth year as a third-grade teacher. Previously I was a third and fourth-grade math and literacy specialist and a substitute before deciding to teach full-time. In addition to teaching, I coach the JVB Volleyball team at CVU as well as the HCS 7/8 Co-ed Volleyball Team, Assistant coach for CVU Varsity Softball and co-coach the girl's Softball team with my teammate Mrs. Wallis. I really enjoy working with kids of all ages. I especially love teaching third grade! This is the time they become more independent and take on more responsibility as the year goes on. It is such a fun age to teach.

FAMILY

I have four daughters, three grandsons and two dogs. My oldest daughter lives in Hawaii with her husband and their three boys. I have one daughter attending BTC for the Aviation and Aerospace Program, one that is studying Marine Science at FGCU in Florida and one sophomore at CVU. Go Hawks!

ABOUT ME

I love to hike and backpack. I hope to thru-hike the Long Trail one year. I love to travel, read, and work in our garden. As a family, we like to go to the lake and ski and wakeboard in the summer and ski Bolton in the winter. I also love Crossfit and running!
