Coach: Amy deGroot

Amy has been playing and teaching tennis for most of her life. When she was in high school she played 1st singles on the boy's tennis team. In college she played 2nd singles for Colgate University and also won the N.Y. S. doubles championship all 4 years. Her claim to fame in college was winning a Golden Set - 24 points in a row. Since college she has played in numerous tournaments progressing to the nationals of some amatuer tournaments such as Family Equitable Mixed Doubles, Lipton Mixed Doubles and the USTA 50 and over team tournaments.

After college she coached the Boy's Varsity Tennis Team at Millbrook School. In the summers she taught tennis and was Co-Director of the Windridge Tennis Camps. More recently she has directed several tennis programs and camps for the towns of Charlotte and Shelburne. She loves teaching tennis to children, teens and adults. She has been coaching the CVU Girls' Tennis Team sincie 2010.

In 2019 The deGroot Family received New England's USTA Family Award.

Assistant Coach: Heidi Willoughby

Heidi began playing tennis at the age of 12 and quickly began spending most of her free time on the courts. She played both high school and junior tennis, eventually achieving a high ranking of #6 in Florida and #76 nationally in the 18 and under division. At Clemson University she played 6th singles and 3rd doubles. About a decade after college she discovered league tennis and has enjoyed competing as an adult ever since. She has been assisting Amy at CVU since 2019.
