CCS Activities Overview

Charlotte Central School offers a wide range of engaging afterschool activities designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, and learning beyond the classroom.

CCS After-School and Additional Activities

CCS offers extended and full-year activities that provide students with opportunities in the performing arts, academics, technology, creativity, and school leadership.

• K–4 Fall Musical: The House at Pooh Corner with Nadia Comba and Very Merry Theatre — Build confidence and creativity through acting, singing, rehearsing, and performing in a live musical production.

• MATHCOUNTS (Grades 6–8) with Rachael Miller and Mary Tierney — Strengthen problem-solving skills through collaborative practice while preparing for the MATHCOUNTS competition.

• LEGO Robotics (Grades 4–8) with Tim Holcomb and Steve Flint — Design, build, and experiment with LEGO creations while exploring robotics and competition-based challenges.

• Jazz Band with Chris Gribneau — Develop musical skills through improvisation and collaborative group performances.

• Yearbook Club with Elisa Miller — Help capture the school year by selecting photographs, creating pages, and designing the CCS yearbook.

• 5/6 Student Council with Dave Baird — Represent classmates, share student ideas, plan school activities, and develop leadership skills.

• 7/8 Student Council with Andrew Lounsbury — Represent the student body, organize school events, and make a positive difference within the CCS community.

SPARK After-School Clubs are short-session after-school opportunities that allow students to explore new interests, build skills, and connect with classmates. 

SPARK Session 1 Offerings:

• Doodle Club (Grades 2–8) with Sarah Cota — Explore drawing through directed activities, mandalas, patterns, coloring challenges, and free doodling.

• Disc Golf Club (Grades 3–8) with Zach Pichette — Learn disc golf fundamentals, including throwing techniques, putting, scoring, and individual and team play.

• More SPARK Clubs will be offered throughout the school year
