Charlotte Central School offers a wide range of engaging afterschool activities designed to inspire creativity, teamwork, and learning beyond the classroom.
Students can explore new interests and strengthen their skills through a variety of clubs led by faculty members:
Spanish Clubs (K–2, 3–4, 5–8) with Ainuka Luna — build language skills and cultural awareness through interactive games, music, and conversation.
MathCounts with Rachael Miller and Mary Tierney — challenge your problem-solving abilities and prepare for regional math competitions.
First LEGO League with Tim Holcomb and Steve Flint — dive into robotics, engineering, and innovation through hands-on LEGO-based projects.
Jazz Band with Chris Gribneau — make music come alive while learning the art of improvisation and performing in a dynamic group setting.
CCS Musical — showcase your talents on stage through acting, singing, and set design in our annual school musical production.
Through SPARK Afterschool Clubs, students can further expand their creativity:
Sewing Club with Bernice Murray
Dance Club with Alyssa Jones
Knitting Club with Caroline Homan
Chess Club with Zach Pichette
Dungeons and Dragons Club with Ethan Naylor
More SPARK Clubs will be offered throughout the school year
At CCS, our afterschool programs encourage curiosity, connection, and confidence—giving every student the opportunity to explore their passions and try something new!
We also offer a number of in-school activities that foster leadership, creativity, and inclusion, including Student Council (5th–8th grade), Yearbook, Sustainability Club and the GLOW Club.
