Welcome to kindergarten at Charlotte Central School. We are excited to be your child's guide in learning, exploring, and problem solving in kindergarten. We work daily to create a safe, engaging, and meaningful learning environment that offers your child ample opportunities to grow their academic, social, and emotional skills. Most importantly, we are committed to helping your child become a kinder, more inquisitive, courageous, and reflective five or six year old person.
Greetings! My Name is Sarah Cota. I live in South Burlington with my family and 150 pound Saint Bernard dog. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling, working in the garden, hiking, biking, doing messy art projects, and reading.
I earned my K-6 teaching certificate from the University of Vermont and my master’s degree in literacy education from Lesley University. I began my teaching career in California in 1999 and have been a kindergarten teacher at CCS since 2013.
Hello! My name is Beth Rowntree. I live in Shelburne with my family and dogs. When I am not in the classroom teaching, you can find me at the top of a mountain (Camel's Hump is my favorite), riding bikes with my daughters, camping, or reading.
My history as a teacher began in 2002. I started my career as a Montessori teacher in the Boston area and went on to earn a master's degree in early childhood education. I have been fortunate to be a classroom teacher at CCS since 2011.
