Sharon Waxman 

Director

This is Ms. Sharon 's first year at SCS. She is a math & literacy para-specialist for 1st-4th grades. She directed this year's production of Artistocats Kids and is director for Oliver Jr.! Sharon worked the past two years at Hinesburg Community School.

In addition to directing SCS's two musicals, Sharon is the music director and producer for Hinesburg Community School's two musicals this year, as well as producer for Williston Central School's middle school musical this coming April.

Outside of school she loves baking, gardening, and teaching private lessons in violin & viola from her home in Hinesburg where she lives with her daughter and 3 kitties.

Jodi Sanders 

Music Director 

Ms. Sanders is our music director and choreographer. She teaches elementary General Music and all of the choruses at SCS. She started a 3rd-6th grade musical theater program at her last school and has been musical director of many children's productions! 

Ms. Sanders plays clarinet, loves creating pottery on a pottery wheel, and lives with her husband and daughter, their cat named Luna, and eight hens (who don't lay nearly enough eggs).

Carissa Bellando

Choreographer    

Carissa Bellando (she/her) is originally from New York and holds a MFA in Contemporary Dance from Case Western Reserve University and a BA in Theatre and Speech with a concentration in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance from Wagner College.  

Carissa performed professionally for thirteen years in Concert Dance and Musical Theatre throughout the US, Taiwan, and at sea with Norwegian Cruise Line and Aida Cruises before moving into teaching and choreographing full-time. Some of her favorite performance roles include Tumblebrutus in “Cats”, the Carpet in “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast”, and Die Hexe (The Witch) in “Es War Einmal” (Once Upon a Time).  

Carissa has taught and choreographed in the US and Germany for colleges, conservatories, theaters, dance companies, and numerous studios. Most recently she has choreographed "SpongeBob Jr" for Shelburne Community School, “Tick Tick…Boom!” for Vermont Stage, "SpongeBob Jr" for Full Circle Collaborative, “Mamma Mia" for Vermont Commons School, and "Alice by Heart" for Essex High School as well as numerous dance studios in the Chittenden and Washington counties.
