Project LIT Community is a national, grassroots LITeracy movement, a network of dedicated teachers and students who work together to:

  • Flood our communities with great books.

  • Host monthly community-wide book clubs & literacy events in schools across the country.

  • Champion & celebrate reading daily.

  • Inspire and support one another. We’ll blog and Skype, participate in Project LIT Twitter chats, and share lesson plans, resources, strategies, and book recommendations.

What is the goal of the UHS Chapter of Project LIT?

For all Titans to (re)discover their love of reading by promoting high-quality, culturally-relevant books and encouraging students to share a common experience through reading and discussion in order to build a culture of acceptance and empowerment in our school.
