Application Process

Applicants to NJHS will be reviewed in the 5 areas that are considered pillars of the organization: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, Character, and Citizenship.

• Scholarship – 1st Semester GPA (7th or 8th grade) of at least 3.75
• Service and Leadership – Application
• Character and Citizenship – Team/Department Rubrics, Olweus Reports, and Discipline Record

The following is an approximate timeline that will be followed each year. Specific dates and times will be provided to students and parents during informational meetings.

• Mid January: 1st Semester GPA
• Mid February: Informational Student and Parent meetings by invitation only (application materials distributed)
• Mid March: Application Deadline
• Late March: Faculty information collected
• Beginning of April: Acceptance Letters/Ceremony Invitations mailed
• Mid April - New Member Meeting, Officer Elections
• Mid May - Induction Ceremony
