Varsity spring tryouts are on Monday, March 2nd. Interested athletes should read the information below and attend the day of tryouts. If you are involved in a CV varsity postseason with basketball, swimming or wrestling that conflicts with our tryout, please contact Coach Hockenbery. All athletes will need a PIAA physical uploaded into RankOne and approved by the athletic trainers before tryouts. Without a physical, athletes will not be able to tryout and there is not a makeup day. Athletes should also complete our team information form here. On the day of tryouts, 9th graders will ride the activity bus from CV9 to the HS campus. All athletes should change in the DSF locker rooms and meet in the indoor turf by 3:25PM. Dress for the weather as we will be going outside for at least part of tryouts. Athletes will participate in a variety of trials specific to one of the following event groups: Distance, Sprints/Jumps/Hurdles/Pole Vault or Throws. Athletes will need to pick which event group they are trying out for. After tryouts a list of the athletes making the team will be posted here. There is no preseason training sessions since our staff will be finishing up the postseason with our indoor track team.
Spring calendar - The expectation is that you attend every practice and meet, including over spring break and help at the Bruce Dallas Invitational on Saturday, April 4th. Please check for conflicts before trying out.
