Hello! I'm Ms. Hott, and I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten at Conemaugh Valley. I've been teaching at Conemaugh Valley since August 2007. I was fortunate to be hired immediately, and I never spent a day being a substitute teacher. I was hired at an elementary learning support teacher upon graduating from Seton Hill University. After my first year at Conemaugh Valley, I was moved from learning support to Pre-Kindergarten where I taught the next 13 years! I have a Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology and Pennsylvania teaching certifications in Early Childhood, Elementary, Special Education, and Mid-Level Citizenship. I also have a Master's of Education in Curriculum and Education from Clarion University.
When I'm not at school teaching, I love spending time with my family especially my long-haired dachshund named Paisley. I also love traveling and exploring new cities, states, and in the past couple of years, other countries. I also enjoy cheering on the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
