Charlottesvile Catholic School Athletics

CCS strives for academic excellence, spiritual growth, and the physical well being and development of its students. The CCS athletic program is an integral part of that development. The program strives to promote greater desire in our student body and community to take an active part in our sports program, either as participants or spectators. We hope to develop competitive athletics while maintaining the values of sportsmanship, good health and academic success.

Keep them safe from injury and harm,

instill in them respect for each other,

CCS SPORTS EVENT CODE OF CONDUCT

* Attending a CCS sporting event requires all attendees to abide by the following rules and regulations*

GUIDING PHILOSOPHY: MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS IS ABOUT BUILDING CONFIDENCE AND HAVING FUN IN A SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT

FANS/PARENTS: Please get excited and cheer for your athlete or friends in a positive and encouraging way. Do not yell at refs, players, or coaches. Parents, during a game or after a game is never an appropriate time to discuss play time. Once a game is over please clear the facility as quickly as possible and it is never appropriate to discuss an in-game call with a ref post game. 

COACHES: Please set an example for your team for sportsmanship. You can respectfully ask refs to explain calls. However, at this level they will make mistakes as we have no mechanism to do instant replay. Their calls are final and irreversible unless they decide to change it.  

PLAYERS: Please set an example by respecting the opposing team, referees, and coaches. Unsportsmanlike conduct can result in ejection from the game at the refs and coaches discretion. Not being dressed appropriately can result in dismissal from the game.

ALL: Any language that is discriminatory or threatening will result in immediate dismissal from CCS facilities during the sporting event. Possession of weapons of any kind on CCS grounds is forbidden and will result in immediate dismissal from facilities. If safety of those present is ever a concern at any point law enforcement will be called.
