-There will be a meeting this spring for any boy that will be in 7th or 8th grade next fall (Fall of 2023) interested in playing soccer. Our goal is to have a CMS Boys Junior High Team that will consist of 7th and 8th graders that attend Circleville Middle School. Meeting is TBD.
Circleville Middle School Soccer Philosophy
At the Middle School level we will begin to teach our student-athletes how to compete to win. We want our middle school teams to play with competitive spirit, grit, and toughness. This doesn't mean that we will win every game, but it is the goal that when our athletes step on the field, that they will compete to the best of their ability. We want our junior high players to look forward to being a part of a team and have a fun learning experience.
The Middle School level is a crucial time to continue to develop skills and build confidence in our players. We want our middle school athletes in our program to understand that they are a part of something bigger thatn themselves and we want our student-athletes in 7th and 8th grade to dream about being a varsity Tiger one day!
Circleville Middle School Tiger Essentials
-Compete- Compete every play. Take pride in outworking our opponent.
-Attitude- Develop a winning attitude and develop winning habits.
-Defense- Defense wins championships.
-Fundamentals- footwork, passing, shooting, speed work, agility, will be worked on every practice.
-Teamwork- learn how to be a part of a team.
-Next Play Mentality- mistakes will happen in the athletic arena or field. Learn from it and move on. Don't let mistakes hinder performance.
-Have Fun- Enjoy the experience. Enjoy being a part of a team. Enjoy being a Tiger!
-Win- If we are competing, we are there to win.
